Sometimes, in between takes, they humored themselves by pretending Vala and Cameron were sneaking around.

It began with a comment by Ben spoken in jest: "...and Mitchell and Vala aren't around because they're obviously somewhere together having sex."

Everyone had laughed; and Claudia, standing next to Ben with a grin on her face, had gently bumped her shoulder against him. He could plainly see in her eyes what never left her lips: "of course they are, darling; this is us we're talking about."

To Ben it explained everything why they always seemed to remain within reach of one another, professionally and personally, and why neither seemed willing to question the reasons behind their closeness.

And if sometimes, in private, they humored themselves by having Vala and Cameron kiss and touch and indulge in things Ben and Claudia weren't allowed to do with each other, so be it. They were building on that connection first strengthened while filming Farscape, and their characters on Stargate deserved nothing less.
